What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly and improve your browsing experience.

Cookies We Use

SportPicker uses a technical session cookie and browser storage for settings and consent. Analytics and Meta marketing are separate optional categories and remain disabled until their respective consent.

Technical Cookies (Required)

• sp_session: authentication cookie that maintains your active session. Duration: 30 days. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax.

These cookies are essential for site operation and cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies

With analytics consent, we use Google Analytics 4, Amplitude, Umami, and pseudonymous or aggregate analytics to measure usage and conversions. For purchases and trials, the browser receives only an opaque ID, plan, value, and currency after Stripe verification. We do not send email, account IDs, Stripe IDs, or session tokens.

Meta marketing cookies

Only with separate marketing consent, Meta Pixel loads on Premium pages and the app download landing and uses _fbp/_fbc for campaign attribution and measurement of PageView, ViewContent, App Store or Google Play clicks through InitiateCheckout, Purchase, and StartTrial. Fragments, non-allowlisted queries, or sensitive referrers block loading; non-Meta UTM and click IDs are removed only after analytics consent and successful persistence. Economic events are verified with Stripe and deduplicated through one opaque ID shared by Pixel and server; store clicks remain browser events and do not prove an installation or purchase. We do not send email, phone, account IDs, session tokens, or Stripe IDs, and do not add IP or user-agent fields to the server payload. _fbp/_fbc last up to 90 days; the consent choice lasts up to 12 months. Withdrawal removes known Meta cookies and blocks later transmissions.

Preferences (localStorage)

We use browser storage for cookie choices, preferences, and consented analytics attribution. Withdrawal removes the known analytics identifiers stored by SportPicker.

How to Manage Cookies

Through “Manage cookies” you can separately accept, reject, or withdraw analytics and Meta marketing. Withdrawal stops later transmissions and removes known identifiers for that category. sp_session remains necessary to stay signed in.

Changes

We reserve the right to update this Cookie Policy at any time.
